Baby smurfs report

BWB vs Larkhall - Saturday 31st January 2015

By Ben Knudson

Ford Masters on the horizon

2002s will travel to Germany this week to participate in the Ford Masters in Cologne.

The boys will travel on Thursday and will play Borussia Dortmund on the Friday ahead of the tournament at the weekend.

Annual Yearbook arrives

The 2014 Yearbook has finally hit the shelves!  Sarah and Jeff have been slaving away for months to put this collection of memories together for the Smurfs, and it is now available for your viewing pleasure!  Be quick though, Dan who is featured on the front cover is quickly buying up all the copies to give signed versions to all his admirers!

Well done to all the boys who have contributed and made it possible.

Playing with Robins and Larks

The 10s, 11s and 12s were in action at the weekend against Larkhall and Swindon Town FC.  With games at Odd Down and in Swindon, resources were stretched, but the boys managed to get in 4 periods of football for each of the games...and that was despite the snowy conditions too!

See that Polar bear?

The under 12s travelled to Millfield on Thursday to play Millfield Year 7s.  On arrival, there was a storm similar to what one might expect in the Arctic.  Indeed, soon fingers and toes were rendered useless and the football became a relfection of such harsh conditions.

våra svenska vänner

BWB03 took a trip to Gothenburg at the weekend to visit our friends from Musthagget.  Whilst Tim talked with their coaches about club and player development, the boys took to the snow!  On the Saturday it snowed for 6 hours leaving a healthy amount to throw around.  Unfortunately, it meant that the game against Gothenburg was called off and we settled for an indoor competition instead.

Deep Freeze

U14s v Bridgewater - The Broad Shield

Report by Luke Banfield

On a cold and wet Tuesday evening BWB entertained Bridgewater at Odd Down playing fields.

Aaron was playing outfield at left back but picked up an injury from a heavy tackle. This put him out for the rest of the match and was replaced by Adam.

Swindon Town visit Bath

Report by Stefan Bruggers:

On Saturday, the 17th of January, the U14 hosted Swindon Town. The sun was out and Toby Harding was the referee, so it was all set for a good game of football. Damian stepped in as our manager for the game - due to Tim’s absence - and gave us the task of spending as much time in the attacking third as possible.
