BWB Under 11s travelled to Abbotts Leigh on Saturday to play their second Cotswold League game. The fixture against Bristol was a tight affair with both sides showing their commitment to play an exciting style of football.
Evander from the under 10s has earned a 1 year contract at Bristol Rovers having compelted his 6 week trial at the League 2 club. Evander will continue to train with the BWB team but must now leave his local club side to join the Pirates. We wish him all the best for his new venture, but are pelased that we can still be a part of his development going forward.
After much contemplation, Sam from Chew Valley has been asked to join the Saints Development Centre in Bath permanently to try to earn a place in their academy team in further south. It is a shame for the Bath squad to lose Sam but we wish him all the best and hope he continues to enjoy his football.
Whilst the 10s had a difficult morning, the 11s performed well under the autumn sun. With many missing, Lewis from the 9s and Jagobomb from the 10s were drafted in to fill the gaps.
The under 10s played their first 9-a-side game of the season on Saturday and were promptly reminded of a few basic lessons as they surremdered to Westfield U11s.
BWB enjoyed a super day at Reading today as they were hosted by the Club's academy at the Madjeski stadium. Some super football was witnessed, and the boys certainly had lots to learn as they were challenged by some very able opponents.
